Dr Shayne Baker OAM has an extensive wealth of experience, spanning several decades, and has made a significant contribution to lifesaving and drowning prevention throughout his career. Apart from his many roles in Australia with RLSS in education and training, research, volunteer lifesaver and sport he has facilitated developmental and drowning prevention programs in Australia, South Africa, Malaysia and the Philippines. The passion for drowning reduction and lifelong learning has been recognised by international entities with ongoing roles with International Lifesaving Federation, RLSS Commonwealth, Irish Lifesaving Foundation, the International Drowning Research Alliance and the Philippine Lifesaving Society.
