RLSS urges members to lobby for drowning prevention funding from Chan Zuckerberg Initiative

The Royal Life Saving Society Commonwealth Drowning Prevention is urging its members to sign a petition asking Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan to consider drowning prevention as a target for funding by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, set up by the couple to celebrate the birth of their daughter Max.

A petition has been set up on the Change.Org website on behalf of the Global Drowning Prevention Community asking Chan and Zuckerberg, who have vowed to give away 99% of their Facebook shares in their lifetime (currently $45 billion), to target drowning prevention as one of the causes the Initiative could support. If you wish to add your name to the petition, visit Change.Org.
