A Trustee since 2018, Bob has been an active volunteer for the RLSS and Lifesaving Society Canada since 1988. 

He is chair of the RLSS Heritage Committee and chaired the RLSS 125th Anniversary Celebration in 2016.  

Bob is the Past Chair of the International Relations Committee for Lifesaving Society Canada and an active member for many years. 

He is Past President of Lifesaving Society Ontario and has held leadership positions in the portfolios of Public Education, Fundraising and Safety Management.  

As a Chief Auditor he has conducted Safety Audits of aquatic facilities across Ontario. 

Bob received the RLSS Diploma award in 2017 for his significant contribution to the Society’s knowledge in the areas of drowning, near drowning, lifesaving and lifeguarding, through analysis and reporting on the factors contributing to a fatal drowning incident, lessons learned and strategies to prevent future drownings. 

In recognition of volunteer services to the Society he was honoured to receive the HRH Prince Michael of Kent 125th Anniversary Certificate of Merit (2016) and the Honorary Life Governor award (2017). 

Bob is retired from the City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation Division where he managed community aquatic facilities and administrative support services.
