Evelyn Day is an aquatic professional, educator, coach, and drowning prevention advocate from Saint Lucia with more than ten years of experience in swimming, water safety, lifesaving, and community-based aquatic development. She currently serves as a Regional Trustee with the Royal Life Saving Society Commonwealth, bringing a Caribbean perspective to conversations around drowning prevention, water safety education, and equitable access to aquatic opportunities.

Her work has included coaching and swim instruction, lifeguard and instructor development, community water safety initiatives, and the design and delivery of learn-to-swim programs. She developed the Developing Swimming in Rural Communities in Saint Lucia initiative, which expanded access to swimming and water safety education for children in underserved coastal communities while supporting the development of local instructors.

As the current regional mentor for the Carribbean, she remains committed to strengthening aquatic education, developing future instructors and lifesavers, and advocating for sustainable drowning prevention initiatives across the Caribbean and beyond.
