Director of Youth Development
Bhavik Barochia began his lifesaving journey at eight with his local club in Windsor, UK, and has since become a passionate advocate for youth engagement in lifesaving. He encourages young members to take on volunteer and leadership roles, championing their voices within his club, across the Thames Valley Branch, and nationally as a key member of the RLSS UK Youth Advisory Board.
With over 15 years of volunteering with the RLSS, Bhavik’s leadership has profoundly influenced the participation of young lifesavers and lifeguards, enabling them to align their ambitions with the charity’s mission of drowning prevention education. He has advocated for this cause on national and international platforms, including television, radio, and by engaging with UK Parliament.
Bhavik’s work focuses on empowering young members and fostering an environment where they can drive meaningful change within the organisation, shaping future opportunities. His dedication to lifesaving and youth involvement underscores his commitment to creating a safer and more inclusive community.
